Abby and Brady
Today I’m going to go visit my aunt and cousins! Last time I saw them was two Wednesdays ago at the hospital, when my aunt gave birth to Christopher Brady Mann. I watched Abby and played with her while Annie was in labor. Abby is a blast! She’s gotta be the cutest, funniest two year old alive. She has such a sense of humor for a little kid. I’m so glad that these two are my cousins! I wish my other cousins could be out here in Cali too. Nick, Ben, and Natalie live in Wisconsin, and I wish they would come visit! Or maybe I can make it up there this summer. *hint hint*
Anyhow, here are some pictures of Abby and Brady. The picture of Abby was taken on Christmas!

This is the newest addition to the family! A 10 pounder! Ouch!

I love these kids!!!!

Yet another entry
On Friday, February 29th, I will be at a law school in Stockton, CA. Some people in our homeschool group are participating in a mock trial. I have to memorized a lot of lines, but I can get credit for it. It should be fun! I have to work hard at it if I want to win. The lead attorney for the prosecution is determined to win, but so am I. I’m the lead attorney for the defence. I believe everyone involved in the trial is part of our homeschool group, except for the judge. The judge will be from the actual court there. This is going to be interesting. lol It’s kind of nice though, to get involved in something again. I haven’t done anything like this since I lived in Fairfield and was in a Christmas play called Operation Christmas Child.
I’m still doing school work of course, cleaning, etc. Fun fun. lol I had a piano lesson this morning in Hayward, and mom let me drive back. Yay, another hour and 20 minutes to add up to my driving time. I need to start making longer drives, so I can have 50 hours of driving complete by April of this year. Ahhhh!! lol
Well that’s all for now.

Getting back to normal
I had a good Christmas with my family and friends, and a good New Year’s start too! I’m getting back to normal now, and I just started school again today. It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve read something for school or have written a paper. About a week before Christmas day I got really sick. Something like a 24 hour bug, and the next day I was much better, but not 100%. I got over it quickly after that, but then on Christmas night, my throat started hurting, and it turned into something bigger. I don’t know what it was, but it’s finally going away, ending with a cough I’ve had. I’m glad it was nothing really serious. God is good! I had a good weekend this past Saturday hanging out with a bunch of my friends. I made my first long drive on Saturday. It was a little over an hour, and it was in a storm, too. I was fine, but my mom was nervous. And I wasn’t driving wreckless or anything…give me a break mom!! lol Just teasing…I guess she just worries a lot. Since my first long drive was in the pouring rain, it’ll be easier now for me to drive in nice weather.
So, only one more year of school left after this. I’m glad. lol I’m going to start putting more money in savings instead of spending it. (My weakness) I’m getting better at it though. I’m trying to save up for a car, since I have to pay for part of it. It will be a used car, most likely a Toyota, but will probably still cost a pretty penny…well to me at least. When I get my second job in a few months I’ll be able to start saving more. Like I’ve mentioned before, I work for my dad’s buisness, but only when he needs me, and that isn’t enough to make good money because I don’t work a lot. Annnyhow, that’s part of my life right now.
God bless,
Jen

The Sneeze
THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium.
With their rich maroon gowns flowing… and the traditional caps, they looked almost… as grown up as they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would NOT pray during the commencements—-not by
choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The ;principal and several students were careful to stay
within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance an d no o ne asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine…..until the final speech received a standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened. H
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and said,
‘GOD BLESS YOU ,
each and every one of you!’ And he walked off stage…
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found an unique way to invoke God’s blessing on their future with or without the court’s approval. What a COOL story!! Clever!!

Life is busy
I don’t have much time to write. I’m been busy with school, driving lessons, working for my dad, Bible quizzing, and Church. I’m excited about Christmas. As some would say, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love being with family and friends. I still have to finish my Christmas shopping but I’m broke! Ahhh! I can’t wait until I get a job with a schedule. The work I do for my dad is just whenever needs me to do it, so I’m still pretty much broke. My mom wants me to wait until this Bible quizzing season is over to get a job but I think I can handle it now. OH well, she’s being a Mother. :) Hope all is well with everyone.
God bless!

Say a prayer…please!
I’m about to start my first driving lesson in a few minutes. To be honest, I’m pretty scared! I’ve never driven on a public road before. Please keep me in your prayers, I don’t want to crash! lol

I guess my blog is my journal
I should hopefully be starting my driving lessons soon. With that, school, and now Bible quizzing starting, I should be pretty busy. I want to get a job too, but that will probably have to wait until the summer. We have our first Bible quizzing meeting tonight. I think we’re just going to go over schedules and get the list of verses we’re supposed to memorize. The material we’re covering this year is in Galations, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. Pray for this quiz year, that would we do good and try our best. GO OAKLEY! My 16th birthday is coming up soon. Whoo hoo! It’s this coming Monday and I can’t wait. I need something to be excited about right now. It’s also my mom’s birthday on Monday too. So for all of you that read her blog, don’t forget to wish her a happy birthday! Hope everyone out there’s doing good. Leave me a comment and let me know!
